Multiple old 401(k)s? Roll them in the right order.

Most professionals 35-55 have 2-4 forgotten 401(k) accounts from previous jobs. Rolling them in the wrong order causes paper-based custodians (Voya, Empower) to bottleneck faster ones. This tool sequences them optimally and recommends a single destination.

Your old 401(k) accounts

Why sequencing matters

Paper-based custodians (Voya, Principal, Empower) take 10-21 business days. Electronic-transfer ones (Fidelity, Vanguard, Schwab) take 3-5. If you start the fast electronic rollovers first and the paper ones last, you finish in ~6 weeks of stress. Reverse the order — start the slow ones now, fast ones next week — and you finish in ~3 weeks with parallel processing.

Equally important: consolidate to ONE destination IRA, not three. Single account = lower fees, simpler retirement RMDs, fewer Form 5498s every year.

This tool sequences rollover initiation based on custodian processing times. It is not personalized financial or tax advice. Each rollover requires the standard 60-day window from the date of its individual distribution.
